Collage
Collage, rather than simply being a medium, is to me a philosophy, a verb and a syntax. A philosophy of juxtaposition. A search for new layers of meaning. A language that expresses itself in both presence & absence.
Some of the collages I make are with pieces of paper, and are often explorations of the body, smallness, displacement, and always an act of mapping the self.
